Part of Fort Lauderdale’s vast yachting community will come together at the Freedom Waters Foundation’s “Seas the Night” party on Oct. 6 at the Coral Ridge Yacht Club. The fundraiser will feature sounds by the Shane Duncan Band, a silent auction, appetizers and an open bar.
The event will provide proceeds to the organization to continue providing therapeutic maritime experiences to children and individuals dealing with life-threatening illnesses or disabilities, youth at risk and veterans. Its on-the-water programs give participants and their families a refreshing break from their challenges of day-to-day restrictions while connecting to the marine world in a safe, caring environment.
