Fresh Start

The start of a new year is a great time to stock up on farm fresh produce and artisan wares. Here are two of our favorite outdoor marketplaces that recently sprouted back up:

Green Market Pompano Beach at Old Town Plaza (pictured left) is a Saturday morning-into-early afternoon experience where guests can fill their baskets with an assortment of locally harvested fruits and vegetables, yoga goods, essential oils and more—and also peruse art exhibitions for free at Bailey Contemporary Arts next door. 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., through April.

In addition to organic produce, the Parkland Farmers’ Market at 8350 Ranch Road is dripping with raw honey, jammed with homemade jellies, and sweetened by pastries baked from scratch. There’s also an assortment of pet vendors, so bring your furry friends along to enjoy some doggie treats and fresh air.
