Handy Hosts Y2K-Themed Fundraiser

All funds raised will support Handy’s Back-to-School program.

Handy, a nonprofit organization providing life skills, education and a supportive community for youth in Fort Lauderdale, is set to host its annual Homecoming event at 7 p.m. on Sept. 23 at The Venue in Wilton Manors. The night will be centered around a Y2K theme, inspired by the iconic VMA’s, Juicy Couture tracksuits and Von Dutch trucker caps, promising attendees a fun-filled evening of music and fashion. Guests will be treated to entertainment and music, along with passed hors d’oeuvres.

The adult-only soiree will feature a variety of food stations and specialty cocktails. The event will also feature the 2023 Homecoming Court, consisting of active local community members nominated to raise funds to support the Handy mission. The man and woman who raise the most money will be crowned the Prom King and Queen during the event.

Tickets are $200 each and can be purchased here. For details on sponsorship opportunities, please contact Desiree Saunders at [email protected] or 954.798.2355.
