HANDY hosts community fundraiser

This weekend, HANDY (Helping Abused Neglected Disadvantaged Youth) is inviting the community to join in its mission to provide services that educate and empower Broward County’s vulnerable youth with a Unity Weekend fundraiser Jan. 8 to Jan. 10.

The fundraiser is open to individuals, teams, families and companies, who are encouraged to complete any kind of workout during the weekend—from running and walking to swimming or biking. Participants can share their support on social media with the hashtags #HANDYUNITY, #HANDYUNITYWEEKEND and #IAMHANDY and tag the organization @HANDYSouthFL on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

All proceeds from the weekend will support HANDY‘s mission to provide life skills, education and a supportive community for Broward County children in foster and relative/nonrelative care associated with the child dependency system.

Digital registration is $30 and includes a shipped certificate and rally towel. To register, visit handyinc.org/events/unityweekend.

For sponsorship opportunities, contact Chief Development Officer Jennifer Cohen at jcohen@HANDYinc.org or Development & Marketing Manager Liesl Mejias at lmejias@HANDYinc.org.
