Jack & Jill Center Hosts Run 4 The Kids 5K

In addition to raising funds to support a noble nonprofit organization, the “2nd Annual Run 4 The Kids 5K” also provides runners over 21 years of age a complimentary beer on race day. Over 200 runners and walkers with varying skill levels are expected to partake in the friendly run that benefits the nonprofit organization.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. with the race commencing at 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 18 at LauderAle Brewery, 3305 SE 14 Ave. in Fort Lauderdale. The special $50 registration fee will help cover scholarships costs to cover a week of high-quality early education as well as a t-shirt and medal.

The funds raised will benefit the Jack & Jill Center, which provides early childhood education scholarships and family support services for families in need in Broward County. A general $30 general registration fee for adults is $30, to fund the center’s mission of eradicating poverty in in South Florida along with a medal and t-shirt. Children ages 15 and under can register for $15 with a medal included with dogs permitted to attend.
