Miami Design District goes pink

 

Throughout the month: The Buckminster Fuller’s Fly’s Eye Dome, a well-known landmark at MDD, will be illuminated in pink every night through October. Plus, MDD’s Styling Suite will feature pink items donated by various retailers throughout the Miami Design District.

Oct. 18: MDD joins Rapha Racing to host MDD x Rapha Bike Ride. Riders receive a satin pink ribbon and choose to ride two routes: south to Coconut Grove or north to Dania Beach. Riders also receive gift packages from Rapha with an MDD tote and mask, as well as beers donated by Veza Sur Bar. Plus, all proceeds benefit Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Tickets: $10; 6:30 a.m.; Jungle Plaza

Oct. 24: Rapha and MDD partner again to host the MDD x Rapha x Irun 5K Run/ Walk. Rapha will again provide gift packages nad prizes and all proceeds benefit Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Tickets: $5; 6:30 p.m.; Jungle Plaza

Oct. 29: MDD ends the month on a high with the fifth annual Fashion Strikes Cancer Benefit, founded by stylist Angeles Almuna to give hope to those who have the disease and commemorate her own battle with breast cancer.  7 p.m.; Palm Court
