Oakland Park Elks Lodge Donates Necessities to Local Veterans

Backpacks filled with toiletries and food items courtesy of Oakland Park Elks Lodge #2407 were recently distributed to local veterans through the United Way of Broward County’s MISSION UNITED program, which provides resources to military and veteran families in South Florida.

The project targets veterans attending case management services who need additional support. MISSION UNITED was established to support U.S. military service members, veterans and their families in Broward County by providing employment services, education, health, legal assistance, financial stability and housing support.
