Ryan Reiter & Schuyler

Vice President of Development at CORE Construction

Tell us about your dog and what makes them special to you.

Schuyler is my little sidekick, my angel. She’s a Goldendoodle named after the Schuyler Sisters (yes, from Hamilton) because I’m a bit of a history nerd and couldn’t pick which sister she embodied the most. Spend a few minutes with her and you’ll see how special she is. She’s got a laid-back attitude, effortless style, and a love for adventure. The thing she gets attention for the most is her haircut from PetBar.

How did your dog come into your life, and how has your relationship grown over time?

She came into my life during a rough patch, and what started as “I guess I could use a

dog” turned into “I don’t know how I ever lived without her.” Someone once told me, “You may not have time for your dog, but your dog has all the time in the world for you.” Which is a big reason why I try to take her with me everywhere. She brings joy, grounding, and more love than I ever expected. She’s definitely changed my life for the better.

Share a memorable or funny moment involving your dog that you’ll never forget.

I wasn’t even supposed to meet her. I was headed to see a different litter when I randomly searched “Goldendoodles near me.” She was the last one left, hiding under a wheelbarrow. I called her name, and out she hopped like she’d been waiting for me her whole life.
