Nov. 13: The fifth annual Ryan Owens Memorial Run, held on Deerfield Beach, honors the life of the Fort Lauderdale native and Navy SEAL who was killed in action in 2017. The 4-mile event, which recalls the weekly timed beach runs during SEAL training, benefits the Naked Warrior Project—a nonprofit organization started by Ryan’s brother John to memorialize fallen Navy SEALs and provide support to their families.  Nov. 16Joe’s Stone Crab on Miami Beach steps back in time for a charitable brunch that benefits Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami.  Nov. 19: Mizner Park Amphitheater provides the backdrop for Light Up Downtown Boca, a series of holiday festivities that kicks off with a full slate of activities.
