Summer Art Programs

Boca Raton Museum of Art. The popular museum presents art classes for children, teens and adults at its Art School Campus.

Classes include Youth Summer Sessions for grade school children to learn cartooning and anime, drawing, animal exploration and 3D art. Teens enjoy workshops teaching still life painting, handmade journals, comic book illustration, jewelry making and design and more. Adults can take advantage of evening and weekend workshops in photography, ceramics, drawing and painting. There’s also Open Studio Time, facilitated by resident art experts and featuring critique and discussion rather than direct instruction.

All classes will be limited to 10 students per room, classrooms will be sanitized and masks will be provided.

City of Pompano Beach Cultural Affairs Department. The city offers four virtual summer courses for children and adults, taught via Go-to-Meeting.

High schoolers explore the basics of theater in “Preparing for the Audition,” a five-day workshop with instruction on voice/diction, facial expression, emotional content, makeup techniques, wardrobe and more. Children in grades 4-9 unleash their inner writers in “Creative Writing,” where they create original works of descriptive writing, poetry, nonfiction and fiction.
