“Rose”

  • For the first show of the Greenhouse Theater Center’s inaugural season in Boca Raton, the Chicago-based group shares an intimate portrait of Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy as she retraces the rise and fall of her family.
  • When: 7:30 p.m. (Saturday, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.; Sunday, 2 p.m.); continues through Dec. 23

“The Camp”

  • The play, written by the local, prolific, and award-winning playwright Michael McKeever, is presented by The West Boca Theatre Company at the Adolph & Rose Levis Jewish Community Center.

Santa’s Wonderland

  • Jump into the Christmas scene at Bass Pro Shop, where there will be cabins, holiday characters and live elves set against a dazzling backdrop of snow-covered hills and illuminated trees. The event also features remote control trucks, a laser foam toy arcade, Lincoln Logs building area and more.
  • When: Weekdays, 10 a.m.–8 p.m.; weekend, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.

Foodie News

Pop-up holiday cocktail bar

  • Miracle, a pop-up holiday cocktail bar, will appear in 50 locations worldwide, with one in South Florida at Death or Glory in Delray Beach. Libations include Christmopolitan, Muletide, Bad Santa and How the Gimlet Stole Christmas—and come in festive glasses (pictured). Death or Glory will deck the halls with lights, garlands and vintage-inspired Christmas decorations.

Riptide Music Festival

  • The two-day beach party features more than 20 bands within alternative, pop, rock and adult-contemporary genres. Bands include Cage the Elephany, Brother Sundance, Los 5 and Saint Motel on Saturday. KC & The Sunshine Band, Salt-n-Pepa, Tito Puente Jr. and Loverboy on Sunday.

SoFla Vegfest

  • The vegan festival features more than 125 vendors, free food and beverage samples, cooking demonstrations, live music, kids activities and more. At the War Memorial Auditorium, it will showcase plant-based cuisine and cruelty-free products.

HoopHall Miami Invitational

  • See basketball powerhouses Kansas vs Syracuse and Miami vs. Princeton.

  • Adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic, in which Ebenezer Scrooge, the stingiest man in town, is visited on Christmas Eve by three spirits that change his life forever.
