Where: Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens
What: The exhibit highlights waterfalls and kites, two aspects of Japanese culture depicted in a variety of prints, paintings and more.

What: A. J. Brown paints a portrait of his double life as a visual artist and vocalist in this new art exhibit on display through June.
“Always… Patsy Cline”
When: Through May 19
Where: The Wick Theatre
What: Enjoy a performance documenting country artist Patsy Cline’s life and friendship with housewife Louise Seger. The play is centered around the events leading to Cline’s death and Seger’s life after it.
Friday, May 3
A Group Exhibition: “Arboreal” pictured
When: May 3 – June 28; opening reception May 3, 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Where: Bailey Contemporary Arts in Pompano Beach
What: Arboreal is an exhibition inspired by trees and human interaction with nature. Enjoy a viewing of this new exhibit as well as a free opening reception this Friday evening.
Beauty and the Beast Junior
When: May 3 & 4
Where: Pompano Beach Cultural Center
What: Cornerstone Theatre Company produces the junior version of “Beauty and the Beast” this weekend for three shows and a special Mrs. Potts Tea Party event hosted before the matinee performance including light refreshments and a meet-and-greet with characters from the show.

Harbor Lights Gala
When: May 4, 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Where: The Ritz Carlton Fort Lauderdale
What: The seventh annual “An Evening in Paris”-themed event features dinner, silent auction and dancing in support of Children’s Harbor.
Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo
When: May 4, 8 p.m.
Where: Seminole Casino Coconut Creek
What: They present “An Acoustic Evening: 40th Anniversary Tour,” featuring their hits in an up close and personal performance that sees them discuss the stories behind hits such as “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” and “We Belong.”
Broward County Plant Affair
When: May 4 & 5
Where: Plantation Heritage Park
What: The Plantation Historical Society sells orchids, herbs, native plants and garden art.
Fort Lauderdale Air Show pictured
When: May 4-5
Where: Fort Lauderdale Beach
What: The annual favorite celebrates the Air Force with military jet flyovers and formation flight teams, including headliners the U.S. Navy Blue Angels.
Sunday, May 5
When: May 5, 7 p.m.
Where: Parker Playhouse
What: The R&B and soul singer has sold more than 25 million albums worldwide, finding massive worldwide success with her 1999 debut “On How Life Is,” leading to awards and an acting career.
