Tiffany Gonzalez & Benji

Part assistant, part soulmate—this mini Goldendoodle turned a birthday surprise into a forever bond.

Tell us about your dog and what makes them special to you.

Meet Benjii Lou, he is a mini Golden Doodle. He’s naturally a lover boy, shy from being born February 14th. He made his appearance a day later February 15th, 2022. While I manifested Benjii Lou, he was a surprise gift from all my friends and family. As I celebrated my 32nd birthday with a movie night under the stars, my friends and family paused the movie to then show me a slide show that was titled, “Meet your dog, Benjii.” They all gathered together to make my dreams come true! It was one of the most thoughtful and memorable gifts I’ve ever received.

How do you juggle your work or personal life with your dog?

I’m very fortunate to work from home; this allows me to spend more quality time with Benjii. I’ve had him since he was two months old. He quickly had to adapt to my lifestyle and the amount of balloons all around the house. Most dogs are scared of balloons, but for him he loves it…it’s like his own personal ball pit. He has his own position within the company as Benjii Lou the Assistant. Although he can’t come to every job with me, he does come on errands days making sure I check off everything on my list!

What has been the greatest blessing your dog has brought to your life?

Benjii Lou came into my life at the perfect time. I needed him more than he needed me. At a time where I felt lonely and wanted a companion and a bit more responsibility, Benjii entered my life. He has brought me so much peace, joy and so much endless love! From the moment he wakes up he’s naturally a lover to morning kisses and midday cuddles; he knows how to show you love! The amount of excitement he has when he sees me makes my heart so happy! It’s a love and connection that can not be replaced. He is my best friend and my son! He turns all my “no’s” into “yeses” with those big brown puppy eyes; I just can’t resist!
