United Way Of Broward County Receives $150,000 Donation From Amazon

The United Way of Broward County was the recipient of a $150,000 donation from Amazon to support the nonprofit organization’s various community-based initiatives. The funding will help the organization continue expanding its resources and services and it will be split between its MISSION UNITED, Project Lifeline, Day of Caring and Mayors’ Gala initiatives.

For over 80 years, the United Way of Broward County has provided resources to underserved Broward County residents. With the COVID pandemic straining its resources due to increased demand, executives from the nonprofit organization say the $150,000 donation will help provide an additional level of financial support that will allow it to further its mission of advocating for the health, education and economic prosperity of the community.

Amazon oversees 30,000 employees in Florida and the donation is part of its commitment to helping local communities and worldwide.
