When the World Cup Comes to Town, the Whole City Becomes the Stadium

FIFA fever is taking over South Florida – here are the best events and activations happening around town

This summer, South Florida takes its place among the elite host destinations for the FIFA World Cup 26™, welcoming seven matches at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, including knockout rounds and the coveted third-place playoff. The games run from June through July, with nearly one million international visitors expected in the region.

From Downtown Miami to the shores of South Beach, the action extends well beyond the stadium. Expect fan festivals, watch parties, pop-ups, and public screenings, giving residents and visitors the opportunity to experience the tournament without securing a ticket.

FIFA World Cup 26™ Miami Fan Festival at Bayfront Park

The epicenter of Miami’s World Cup experience takes shape at Bayfront Park, where a sweeping 436,000-square-foot waterfront hub will welcome up to 30,000 fans daily. From June 13 through July 5, giant screens will broadcast matches in real time, putting fans inside the action whether their team is playing in Miami or halfway around the world. There will also be a 10,000-capacity amphitheater stage featuring live performances and cultural showcases, and a large-scale “Faces of Fan Festival” interactive installation.

Fogo de Chão World Cup Pop-Up at Wynwood Marketplace

Brazilian steakhouse Fogo de Chão takes over Wynwood Marketplace for a 12-day pop-up timed to the high-anticipation June 24 Brazil vs. Scotland showdown at Hard Rock Stadium. Think fire-roasted meats, brand activations and programming, and the full spirit of Brazil brought to life in one of Miami’s most culturally charged neighborhoods.

InterContinental Miami World Cup Watch Parties at Toro Toro & SkyLawn

For those who prefer their soccer with a side of luxury, head to the InterContinental Miami during the World Cup. Inside the 34-story landmark, chef Richard Sandoval’s Pan-Latin steakhouse Toro Toro will host watch parties with country-themed drink specials, while themed poolside cabanas and photo moments set the scene throughout the property. Keep an eye out for SkyLawn’s “Shoot the Shot,” a rare chance to play pick-up soccer on a rooftop greenspace with Biscayne Bay as your backdrop.

Downtown Miami Community Watch Zone at Bayside Marketplace Plaza

Bayside Marketplace transforms into an open-air gathering place for the duration of the tournament. Large-scale public screenings of select matches will bring together residents and visitors in one of Downtown Miami’s most walkable settings, paired with live entertainment programming and city-organized fan engagement.

Miami Beach World Cup Fan Zone at Lummus Park

Only in Miami does the World Cup come with an ocean view. Lummus Park along Ocean Drive becomes an open-air fan zone on select match days, offering large LED screens broadcasting live games, interactive soccer activations, and music programming, all steps from the sand.

Brickell World Cup Outdoor Screening Series at Brickell City Centre Lawn

Coming to Brickell City Centre’s open-air promenade on select tournament match days, the outdoor screening series turns the development’s central green into something more than a viewing party. Think oversized screens, immersive decor, and activities the whole family can settle into, all set against the backdrop of one of Miami’s most dynamic urban corridors.

Miami Dade County Parks World Cup Watch Series

On designated match days, select Miami-Dade County parks will host open-air viewings, offering big-screen broadcasts at accessible, familiar community spaces across the county. It’s a deliberate effort to spread the energy of one of sport’s grandest stages well beyond Hard Rock Stadium’s footprint, turning local parks into gathering places where the whole city can share in the moment.
