Wonder Paws Rescue will hold its second annual charity golf tournament to raise funds to help the nonprofit organization rescue, rehab and find adoption homes for dogs and cats in South Florida. Par for the Paws will be held at noon on Oct. 15 at Jacaranda Golf Club in Plantation.
Interested participants must register before the event, where a hole-in-one could win $10,000. The fundraiser will also feature a Welcome BBQ and Open Bar, followed by a shotgun scramble at 1:30 p.m., with complimentary beverages during play. It will conclude with a banquet party for all guests at 5:30 p.m., featuring food and drinks, a live DJ, raffles and a silent auction. Other activities include a $100,000 shootout for four players and a unique putt to be explained on-site for the chance to win a seven-night resort stay.
Wonder Paws Rescue provides over $200,000 in medical expenses to care for needy pets. This year, a generous donor will match all donations up to $25,000.
