50th Annual Tiara Ball

Join chairperson Tanya Heller and the Royal Dames of Cancer Research on Nov. 23 for the golden anniversary of one of Broward County’s most storied galas. Themed “50 Karats,” the black-tie fundraising event at Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale Beach will feature cocktails, dinner, dancing, and live music from Remix. Attendees also will have the opportunity to bid on some 100 items—including yacht rentals, stays at the Boca Raton Resort & Club and luxury cars. Over the years, the Royal Dames has raised nearly $3 million for Nova Southeastern University’s Rumbaugh-Goodwin Institute for Cancer Research. In addition to training the next generation of scientists and researchers, the institute focuses on developing patented drugs and cutting-edge cancer treatments. “The support from the Royal Dames is one of the most important driving forces in our efforts to continue the battle against cancer,” says RGI executive director Appu Rathinavelu.
