Eating House introduces make-at-home Meal Kits

Eating House Miami, located at 804 Ponce de Leon Boulevard in Coral Gables is working to provide fresh food options for Miami locals who are adhering to social distancing recommendations.

This local restaurant has developed a selection of Eating House Meal Kits for make-at-home, three-course meals portioned to feed a family of four. These meal kits include four green salads, desserts, and the ingredients and instructions necessary to create a family-sized Eating House pasta dish at home – garnishes and fresh grated cheese included.

The meal kits are styled after the location’s popular Wednesday night pasta menu. They include fresh rigatoni produced and made locally and your choice of four sauce options, like wagyu beef Bolognese, all made in-house. For those with dietary restrictions like nut allergies or following plant-based diets, sauces like the nut-free basil pesto and the pomodoro (which can be tailored to become vegan) are available.

Each meal kit is available for $40, with a per-portion price of only $10.

Giorgio Rapicavoli, chef and owner of Eating House developed the meal kits to serve the more vulnerable Miami population. “We are trying to keep everything as contactless as possible,” he says. “We take credit cards over the phone, and we have [the meal kit] in a bag ready to pick up at the front door.”

Outside of the Eating House Meal Kits, the location will also offer all items on their regular menu for takeaway – including their selection of fine beer and wine, discounted up to 50%.

Those self-quarantined inside their homes can order Eating House for delivery. “We are currently [delivering through] Postmates, although we are working on internalizing that process so front-of-house staff can still have an income.”

To order an Eating House Meal Kit or items from the Eating House takeaway menu, call (305) 448-6524. For delivery, visit postmates.com.
