Miami-Dade

Halloween at home. Miami shoppers to celebrate Halloween at home and the Dolphin Mall throughout the month. Throughout October, customers can stop at the mall’s information booth to pick up a goodie bag with candy, chocolate, Bath & Body Works Pocketbac Hand Sanitizer, Kids Club Gift, bakery treat and a Passport to Shopping.

As part of the festivities, the mall hosts a Halloween House Decorating Contest. Customers can pick up a yard sign indicating their participation at the information booth. After decorating their home, participants send a photo to [email protected] for a chance to win first, second and third prize winners, who receive Visa gift cards for $1,500, $1,000 and $750, respectively. The winners will be announced Oct. 30.

 

Garden Nights. Fairchild Garden hosts a Halloween Dream, a family movie night where families can trick or treat in the rainforest and then enjoy a movie night on the lawn with beverages and food from the Glasshouse Cafe. Oct. 31, 6 p.m.; tickets are $25 per person and $10 for children 6-17.

That same day, foodies can get their fill of Miami’s best cuisine at Eat. Drink. Garden. South Florida’s best chefs serve an al fresco dinner under the night sky, savoring ingredients from the Fairchild Farm. The candlelit dinner has two socially distanced seatings at 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. and seating is limited to 30 guests.

Broward

“Not So Spooky” Car-lloween. An ideal event for kids and families, Gulfstream Park Village hosts a socially distanced night of sweet fun where kids can dress up and collect candy. During the event, families drive through Gulfstream Park Village to collect candy from 10 stations in the trunks of their cars. Oct. 30, 6:30-8 p.m. Click here for info.

 

Palm Beach

Witches’ Brew. The Witches of Delray won’t get to have a charity bike ride this year. But the ninth annual event, which benefits Achievement Centers for Children & Families in Delray Beach, will go on in a variety of creative ways.

Several live and virtual experiences include Witches Quiz Ride, Witches Plates & Potions Hospitality Bingo, Best Virtual Cackle and Best Decorated Hat for a $20 donation. Plus, participants can get ready for next year’s bike ride with the chance to win a new bike at the Witches Brew event, which will be held at Tim Finnegan’s Irish pub.
