Where to Dine for Easter

Easter may not carry the same dining buzz as Thanksgiving or Christmas, but don’t tell that to fine-dining establishments around South Florida. Here are just a few of the Easter specials on tap for Sunday, April 4.

Gianni’s at The Villa Casa Casuarina (1116 Ocean Drive, Miami Beach): The former Versace Mansion is the jaw-dropping backdrop for an extravagant holiday lunch and dinner. Offerings include Gianni’s spaghetti pomodoro (with San Marzano tomatoes, basil and olive oil); pan-seared Chilean sea bass; Australian lamb chops; and raw-bar selections like Alaskan king crab, tuna tartare and Kusshi oyster.

Burlock Coast (1 N. Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd.): The rustic seafood spot is featuring a family-style brunch from noon to 5 p.m. ($79 per adult, $49 per child). Among the offerings: spring pea salad with prosciutto; hot smoked fish dip in bread boule; honey-roasted ham; and grilled Faroe Island salmon.

Cote Miami (3900 NE Second Ave., Miami): The Korean steakhouse in the Design District has a trio of Easter offerings, including Japanese A5 Wagyu tenderloin at $40/ounce; Maine scallops ($9 per); and Australian lamb chops ($18 per)—all grilled tableside.

Sweet Beach at the Shelborne South Beach (1801 Collins Ave.): The tropical outdoor pop-up at the Shelborne Hotel is hosting a Sunday brunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Think bottomless mimosas ($25) and brunch ($42) in the oasis garden.

Villa Azur (309 23rd St., Miami Beach): In addition to the regular menu, guests can order off a special holiday menu that includes truffled egg ($18); pistachio-crusted half rack of lamb ($45); and Choux Trio for dessert ($14), Easter “eggs” with dulce de leche, Nutella and pistachio.
