Where to Dine and Drink Over the Fourth of July Weekend

From American-themed cocktails to classic backyard BBQ staples, this year’s Fourth of July celebrations at restaurants and bars in South Florida is sure to offer much more than 2020.

Below is a list of local destinations for those looking to celebrate the holiday throughout the tri-county area:

Venue: Rivertail
Location: 4 W Las Olas Blvd, Ste #120 in Fort Lauderdale
Fourth of July Offerings: Enjoy red, white and blue cocktails as well as brunch specials from Chef Jose Mendin including, BBQ Shrimp and Grits, Sauteed Rock Shrimp, Creole BBQ Sauce, Cheddar Grit Cakes and Spicy Hollandaise; and Baby Back Ribs with Apple Slaw— Braised, Smoked and Grilled Baby Backs with Memphis Sweet Sauce and Apple Slaw.

Venue: Casa Sensei
Location: 1200 East Las Olas Blvd. Fort Lauderdale
Fourth of July Offerings: A Rock N Roll Brunch featuring live music and brunch favorites with a Pan Asian, Latin fusion twist and bottomless cocktails will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. all weekend long. Drinks guests can enjoy include The Patriot ($16), which is a mix of Rock N Roll Platinum Tequila, grenadine, sour mix and blue curaçao, topped with blueberries and a blue sugar rim, only available during the Fourth of July weekend.

Venue: The Wharf Miami
Location: 114 SW North River Dr.
Fourth of July Offerings: On Friday, happy hour specials include $1 Wharf Lagers and $3 Wine by the glass (from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.). Saturday will feature giveaways, red, white and blue cocktails and $25 bottles of Côtes de Provence Rosé (from noon to 4 p.m.). From noon to midnight on Sunday, patrons can enjoy live music, food trucks and views of fireworks from the riverfront.

Venue: Zuma Miami
Location: 270 Biscayne Blvd.
Fourth of July Offerings: Sunday brunch will still be available on July 4, but the eatery is brining back its celebratory picnic baskets to go. A signature basket for two ($248/basket) includes chef’s signature picnic menu (cold and hot dishes, dishware, settings and glassware). Signature cocktails (Japanese margherita, espresso martini, zuma old fashioned) are two servings each. The baskets are available for pick up on July 3 and July 4 (limited availability).

Venue: III Forks Prime Steakhouse
Location: 4645 PGA Blvd. Palm Beach Gardens
Fourth of July Offerings: To craft the ultimate picnic basket, a Backyard Burger Kit ($50) featuring 6 ½-pound Certified Angus Beef Brand burger patties, hamburger buns, lettuce, onion, tomatoes, dill pickles, aged cheddar, III Forks Seasoning and fresh-baked cookies. A Butcher Shop Pack ($275), features two 10 ounce center-cut Certified Angus Beef brand Filets, two 18 ounce USDA Prime Bone-in Ribeyes and two 16 ounce USDA Prime New York Strips. Guests can pick up their orders through Saturday by preordering online or by calling the restaurant.

Venue: Barrio in Rosemary Square
Location: 700 Rosemary Ave., West Palm Beach
Fourth of July Offerings: On Sunday, patrons can enjoy a trio of red, white and blue concoctions, including the Strawberry Paloma ($12), made with vodka, strawberry purée, grapefruit and citrus juices; a Skinny Shaken Piña Colada ($12) with coconut rum, cream of coconut puree, fresh mint and lime; and the Spicy Pineapple Margarita ($11), a señorita filled with jalapeño tequila, blue curaçao, pineapple purée and fresh lime. To eat, executive chef Rolando Anoceto will use his Latin-inspired tapas and platos to serve Braised Beef Empanadas ($11) with chorizo, manchego, and smoked pepper aioli; Conch Fritter Bocaditos ($14) served with mango habanero chutney and smoked pepper aioli. The venue’s location provides the opportunity to watch the Flagler fireworks display starting at 9:09 p.m. from the Hibiscus garage rooftop.
