Business for the Arts of Broward to Host 3rd Annual Art + Stroll Event

Like many events in 2020, Business for the Arts of Broward (BFA) had to host its Annual Art + Stroll Event virtually, but not in 2021. The 3rd Annual Art + Stroll Event will return as an in-person event from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 17 inside the lobbies of buildings 401, 301 and 201 of E. Las Olas Blvd. The occasion will transform a block along Las Olas Boulevard in downtown Fort Lauderdale and provide guests the opportunity to connect with the business leaders at BFA while experiencing art exhibits and local live entertainment performances.

Entertainment options will feature word poetry, live music and African drumming provided by Art Prevails Project, Broward College Big Jazz Band, Hope Street band and Ashanti Cultural Arts. It will also feature a live painting by Lori Pratico and sidewalk chalk artists. The event’s poster by Tom De Vita, the winner of this year’s event poster contest and Artist in Residence for the City of Pembroke Pines, will also be available for sale.

As a nonprofit organization, Business for the Arts of Broward uses the Art + Stroll event to provide funding for art development in the county. The night will include an exhibition of artwork for sale, with the proceeds split between the artists and BFA. Profits will enable the organization to expand its innovative programming, including the free Arts Mean Business Speaker Series, Art in the Workplace, Art Curation, Public Art Projects and Artist Encounters.

Tickets are available at $25 (advance) and $35 (at the door) and include a $25 restaurant gift card, Hoffman’s Chocolates, and more. To purchase advance tickets, visit here.
