Dan Marino Foundation Receives Donation From North Fort Lauderdale Subaru

The Dan Marino Foundation was selected as the beneficiary of North Fort Lauderdale Subaru’s Hometown Charity for its “Share the Love” event. From today until Jan. 3, 2022, North Lauderdale Subaru will donate a minimum of $50 for every new Subaru leased or sold and an additional $5 for every routine service visit to the selected Hometown Charities.

“The Foundation recognizes and appreciates the difference that the North Fort Lauderdale Subaru Team and their customers make in our community,” says Mary Partin, CEO of Dan Marino Foundation, “with funding from Subaru’s Share the Love Event, individuals with autism can benefit from services that help them in their journey to a bright future.”

Last year, the Dan Marino Foundation received more than $14,000 from North Fort Lauderdale Subaru during its “Share the Love” event. Over the past 12 years, Subaru of America, Inc has donated more than $175 million through the Subaru “Share the Love” Event to both national and local charities.

“North Fort Lauderdale Subaru is proud to support the Dan Marino Foundation’s endeavor to empower individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities as part of Subaru’s Share the Love Event,” says Wael Ghali, Managing Partner of North Fort Lauderdale Subaru. “Together, we can make a difference!”

Dan and Claire Marino founded the Dan Marino Foundation shortly after their son, Michael, was diagnosed with autism in 1992. It provides life-changing programs and services, with the mission to “empower individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities.” The Foundation has raised more than $87.5 million to create and support unique and impactful initiatives, including the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Dan Marino Outpatient Center, the Marino Autism Research Institute, Marino Adapted Aquatics and the Marino Campus post-secondary school.
