Palm Beach Meats Hosts Asian Street Fair

Immerse yourself in a day filled with food, culture and community.

Palm Beach Meats will be hosting an Asian Street Fair to celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month (AAPI) month in May. The founder of Palm Beach Meats, Eric, wanted to pay tribute to his Filipino heritage by gathering some of South Florida’s most talented Asian-American chefs for this unique occasion.

The culinary experience will last from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, May 20. Guests can purchase a “passport” and taste dishes from five distinct Asian cultures and enjoy live entertainment while supporting local small businesses.

The five chefs on-hand to share their cultural dishes include:

Japan | Takeshi Kamioka of Kaminari Ramen will be serving Pork Gyoza.

Philippines | Nicole Ponseca of Jeepney will be serving Wagyu Sisig Tacos. The James Beard nominated author and chef will team up with Chef Emerson Frisbie of Palm Beach Meats and Clandestine Culinary to provide a modern twist on a Filipino classic utilizing the finest Meats from Palm Beach Meats.

Myanmar | May Aungthet of Ahmay’s Cuisine will serve Aloo Kat Thalate, a crispy mashed potato cutlet filled with caramelized onions and curried Wagyu beef.

Cambodia | Sotharith “Bee” Chhim will be serving Cambodian Beef Satay (Sach Koh Kajak) with papaya carrot salad. The steak is marinated in Kreung and cooked on bamboo skewers over hardwood coals. It will be accompanied by traditional papaya salad.

Vietnam | Manh + Thanh Trac of Yen’s Kitchen will serve Lotus Root Salad. The marinated lotus roots blend with pickled daikon corianders, fresh herbs, and a sweet chili sauce with a choice of shrimp or pork.

Tickets to the Asian Street Fair are $60 per person and can be purchased on Eventbrite here.
