Capital Tacos Readies for Launch of Tamarac Location

The award-winning restaurant chain will open its doors on June 8.

Capital Tacos, the nationally-awarded Tex-Mex restaurant franchise that began as a corner taco shop, is set to open its first South Florida storefront at 5707 North University Blvd. in Tamarac in June. The restaurant will bring scratch-made, innovative, and unmatched flavors to the Broward County community, using only the highest quality in-house ingredients, much like its other Florida locations.

Capital Tacos aims to establish itself as a fan-favorite destination for Tamarac families, foodies, and Tex-Mex enthusiasts, following years of requests for expansion. This new location will showcase the brand’s multi-faceted approach to development, utilizing a second-generation business venue to expedite the buildout process and offering a variety of in-person and digital offerings for consumers to access menu favorites.

Founded in 2013, Capital Tacos is known for serving Tex-Mex cuisine. To celebrate its South Florida debut, the restaurant is unveiling the South Beach Hot Chicken flavor profile, a unique and innovative spin on Nashville hot chicken that will be available in various menu items such as tacos, bowls, burritos, salads and nachos.

“We’ve had folks visiting from South Florida for years, asking time and again when they can expect the concept to expand into nearer markets,” Josh Luger says, Co-Founder of Capital Tacos. “That wait is finally over! We’re very excited and humbled to be opening our first brick-and-mortar location in Tamarac. This is just the first of many locations we plan to bring South Florida residents in the coming years.”

Capital Tacos customers can download the Capital Rewards app on iOS or sign up at CapitalTacos.com to earn and redeem rewards and receive exclusive offers at the new Tamarac location. They’ll also have access to online ordering for ease and convenience and catering opportunities for events of any kind and size throughout the area.
