Celebrate National Dog Day During Kimpton Shorebreak Resort’s Sunset Yappy Hour

Don’t miss this paw-ty.

Enjoy National Dog Day this month at the Kimpton Shorebreak Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort, a pet-friendly spot on Fort Lauderdale Beach, 2900 Riomar St. On Monday, Aug. 26, dog owners can bring their furry companions to “On the Wooftop,” the resort’s signature rooftop bar, for a free sunset Yappy Hour starting at 6 p.m.

During this National Dog Day celebration, pet owners can pamper their pups with puppy playdates, goodie bags, treat samples, water stations and more surprises from sponsors Tito’s Vodka and Green Paws Pet Market while enjoying stellar sunset and Intracoastal views. For the humans, there are photo opportunities, light bites and a specialty menu of $14 Tito’s Vodka cocktails in honor of the event, including Hair of the Dog, Mutt Mule, Bark-a-Rita, Daily Walk and All-Time Furr-avorite. A portion of proceeds from cocktail sales will benefit Abandoned Pet Rescue, a local nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and sheltering abandoned and abused pets and helping them find forever homes.

Valet parking and street parking are available. For more information, visit www.theescaperooftopbar.com; Telephone: (954) 908-7301. Follow on Instagram: @ShorebreakResortFtl | @EscapeRooftopBar
