Style Saves Brings Jungle-Themed Back-to-School Experience to Miami Beach

Style Saves is turning back-to-school into a celebration as its annual giveaway returns to the Miami Beach Convention Center Aug. 8-9, providing thousands of South Florida students with the supplies they need to start the school year with confidence.

Now in its 16th year, the Miami-based nonprofit has helped more than 250,000 students and families by providing brand-new school uniforms, backpacks, sneakers, school supplies and meals at no cost. The event serves children from migrant communities, homeless shelters and foster care, as well as families facing the rising costs of preparing for a new school year.

This year’s “Jungle” theme will transform Hall D of the Miami Beach Convention Center (1901 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach) into an immersive experience complete with bounce houses, ball pits, arts and crafts, a petting zoo, face painting, live music from a DJ, and stations where students can personalize their backpacks and uniforms. Wellness brand Cymbiotika will also create an interactive jungle-themed installation featuring giveaways, school supplies and other surprises.

For the first time, the event will feature both a food hall and a family marketplace. The food hall, sponsored by Sodexo, will serve complimentary meals from partners including Jimmy John’s, Pinecrest Bakery, Pura Vida, Bakerly, Skinny Louie, Fresh Express, and Chiquita. The new marketplace will allow families to take home groceries and pantry staples donated by brands including Goya, Planet Harvest, Goodles, Pretzelized, and Gopuff.

Founded in Miami, Style Saves was created to help students feel confident and prepared by providing access to clothing, school essentials, and educational opportunities. In addition to its annual back-to-school event, the nonprofit operates a mentorship program for underserved high school students in partnership with Miami-Dade County Public Schools, offering workshops on leadership, career development, financial literacy and professional skills. The organization also hosts holiday giveback events for families in South Florida’s migrant communities.

Families can register to attend the event at tixr.com/groups/stylesaves.

Organizers are currently seeking volunteers to help with setup and the two-day event, as well as donations to support the nonprofit’s year-round programming. Volunteer at stylesaves.org/volunteer.
