Downtown Hollywood has a new spot for fried chicken, caviar, and a little late-night intrigue.
Common Room, from BOL Hospitality Group, is now open, serving American comfort food with some decidedly luxe upgrades.
Executive chef Tanya Evans, whose résumé includes Barton G and Major Food Group, has created a menu that ranges from fried chicken and lobster rolls topped with salmon roe to spicy rigatoni, prime rib French dips, and a Wagyu burger.
Martinis get their own moment, too. A cocktail program by Miami’s Unfiltered Hospitality includes customizable martini service, along with a selection of new favorites.
The evening doesn’t end at dessert. After dinner, ask to be escorted to Common Room’s hidden gem: The Brooklyn Room is an invitation-only speakeasy entered through a secret passageway. The intimate hideaway serves cocktails named for Brooklyn neighborhoods against a soundtrack of old-school hip-hop and jazz.
Common Room and The Brooklyn Room. 2032 Harrison Street, Hollywood; commonroomfl.com. Now open.
