Lifestyle Media Group Accelerates Expansion With Acquisition of Las Olas Boulevard & Isles Magazine

Acquisition and planned consolidation of flagship publications advance Ray Chehata and Chairman Gary Press’s four-part strategy to strengthen the company’s South Florida media presence.

Lifestyle Media Group, led by CEO Ray Chehata, has acquired Las Olas Boulevard & Isles Magazine from publisher Lou Yovino, marking a significant step in an ambitious expansion strategy aimed at positioning the company as Broward County’s largest media group.

The acquisition is part of a four-pronged growth strategy developed during discussions between Chehata and Gary Press, who sold Lifestyle Media Group to Chehata earlier this year and remains the company’s chairman.

A central component of that vision was the acquisition of Las Olas Boulevard & Isles magazine, strengthening Lifestyle Media Group’s presence in Fort Lauderdale while expanding its reach among South Florida’s business and lifestyle audiences.

With the transaction finalized, Chehata is delivering on his commitment to build upon the publishing legacy established by Press while pursuing an aggressive strategy for growth.

“From the beginning, our goal was to strengthen our publications and expand our reach with the ultimate goal of being the largest media group in South Florida,” Chehata said. “The acquisition of Las Olas Boulevard & Isles represents an important step in that vision, and we’re excited about what lies ahead.”

Known for its coverage of the Las Olas community, Las Olas Boulevard & Isles Magazine joins a portfolio that includes Lifestyle, South Florida Business & Wealth (SFBW), LUXE, and Charitable magazines.

The acquisition comes as Lifestyle Media Group prepares for another major transformation. Beginning in December 2026, the company’s two flagship titles, Lifestyle and SFBW, will merge into a single, comprehensive monthly publication combining business, finance, real estate, dining, culture, and lifestyle coverage. This robust publication will offer readers and advertising partners a broader platform reaching audiences across South Florida.

Together, the acquisition and consolidation represent two of four strategic initiatives designed to expand Lifestyle Media Group’s market presence and strengthen its position as the dominant force in Broward’s publishing industry. Additional developments are planned as the company continues to execute its growth strategy.

“Ray has demonstrated his commitment to continuing the legacy of Lifestyle Media Group while taking the company in new directions,” Press says. “This acquisition is an important part of that vision, and I look forward to seeing what comes next.”
