Broward County Public Schools to Continue Providing Grab and Go Meals
The free service will be available during the summer months
While school is out for summer, the Broward County Public Schools Food and Nutrition Services (BCPSFNS) will be continuing its free service of providing curbside grab-and-go meal bundles to vulnerable children in the county.
The free meals help ensure school children can access quality nutritional food even while school is not in session. The meals will be distributed every Tuesday, beginning tomorrow, for all children under 18 years of age.
The program is made possible thanks to the U.S. Department of Agricultureโs (USDA) Summer Feeding Program, which was recently extended.
As the sixth-largest school district in the nation and the second-largest in the state of Florida, Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) serves nearly 261,000 pre-K through 12th-grade students and about 110,000 adult students.
