Dine Out Lauderdale

Through Sept. 30, Dine Out Lauderdale highlights Greater Fort Lauderdale’s buzzing restaurant scene with special $35 and $45 menus. Want a taste? Check out details on three local restaurant menus.

Lona Cocina y Tequileria, led by chef Pablo Salas, makes casual Mexican highend on the waterfront. Choices from the Dine Out Lauderdale lunch menu ($35) include roasted chicken rajas, blue crab tostada, tacos al pastor and Mexican ribs. If you’re looking for dinner, try crab enchiladas, steak tampiqueña, queso fundido and tuna tostada. Both lunch and dinner end on a high note with dessert choices of chocolate ganache, tres leches and flan. 321 N. Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd., Fort Lauderdale; lonarestaurant.com

Catch the summer sun while dining alfresco with a view of the beach at DUNE, located at Auberge Beach Residences & Spa. The $45 prix-fixe menu includes seared diver scallops with sweet corn nectar, crispy pancetta, heirloom tomatoes and a vegan/vegetarian option; summer farro risotto with asparagus, corn and exotic mushrooms; and butter lettuces with Point Reyes blue cheese, shaved Anjou pear and pear vinaigrette. 2200 N. Fusing Pan-Asian and Latin American flavors, Casa Sensei (pictured above), based in Las Olas, offers both a variety of upscale entrees such as Korean steak chimichurri with Korean spices, white rice and maduros; and Russian Roll with shrimp tempura, avocado, asparagus, topped with funa, green tempura flakes, jalapeño, served with eel sauce and spicy mayo. Whet your appetite with appetizers such as charred octopus with a papaya-mango salad, drizzled with fresh basil vinaigrette and ahi poke with red onion, truffle oil, soy sauce and veggie wonton chip. For dessert, try a delectable tres leches or Thai donuts. 1200 E. Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale; casasensei.com
