How to prepare for Hurricane Dorian

As Hurricane Dorian approaches South Florida, it is important to make sure you and your family stay safe and protected. If you plan to hunker down and ride out the storm, be sure to adequately prepare enough food, water and supplies to sustain your household.

Helpful Tips for Preparation:

  • Store important documents in a sealable plastic bag and keep inside a box in a known location.
  • Keep one cell phone fully-charged and unused in the case of a power outage.
  • If you do lose power, eat the perishable food in your refrigerator and freezer first.
