Junior League of Boca Raton’s Annual Week of Impact to Benefit Community

LBR members volunteer over 35,000 hours and donate over $250,000 yearly to improve the South Florida community.

During its annual Week of Impact from March 11 to March 16, the Junior League of Boca Raton will significantly contribute to the local community. The League members will be involved in various projects, including reading to K-2 students at Plumosa School of the Arts, participating in food drives for the underserved at Boca Helping Hands, delivering feminine hygiene supplies, and gathering gowns and accessories for ‘Prom Beach: Making Prom Possible.’

“No person should be forced to choose between nourishing themselves and prioritizing their personal well-being,” says Meghan Shea, president of the Junior League of Boca Raton. “We are collecting necessary items that will benefit the individuals of our community that are in distress.”

The community members have been invited to participate in a hygiene items drive, dress donation, and food drive. The donations gathered during these drives will be given to local organizations, such as Boca Helping HandsCereal4All, and Prom Beach.
