Las Olas Oceanside Park Debuts Outdoor Ice Rink for Holiday Season

The rink is open daily through Jan. 1.

The Rink at The Loop has made Fort Lauderdale Beach even more incredible with its debut. This 4,000 square foot eco-friendly and technological marvel offers the thrill of ice skating seaside under blue skies and swaying palm trees. The Rink comprises self-moisturizing, seamless tongue-and-groove panels, providing a smooth surface for skaters to glide and turn as they would on conventional ice. It offers a traditional wintertime experience perfect for all ages, ice skating novices and pros alike.

The Rink will be open daily through Jan. 1 and showcase weekly specialty theme skates. These include Chill & Thrill College Student Skate on Mondays, Giving Tuesday, which benefits local nonprofits, Glam & Glide Girls’ Night Out on Wednesdays, Skate in Cinema, which coincides with Seasons Screenings movie nights, Rock The Rink on Fridays with live music, Love on Ice Couples Night on Saturdays, and Family Skate with Santa and friends on Sundays. Half-time skates will be held every Monday and Wednesday for seniors (55+) and for little ones (3-5 years old) every Tuesday and Thursday. Skaters can indulge in hot chocolate, iced coffees, and other daily holiday treats from Ry’s Coffee.

During the Third Annual Wonderland through Jan. 1, Fort Lauderdale Beach will be transformed into a center of holiday activities steps away from the shoreline. Throughout the seven-week holiday experience, people of all ages, including locals and visitors, can create lasting memories through various sights, sounds, special activities, and performances. These include the holiday market, strolling characters, live music, dance performances, visits with Santa, holiday movies, and more.

During the seven-week series, The Rink plans to donate $2 from each ticket sale on Giving Tuesdays to local nonprofit organizations, such as the Humane Society of Broward County, United Way of Broward County’s Mission United, The Pride Center at Equality Park, Feeding South Florida, Broward Center Arts in Education, and Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Broward County. Additionally, supporters can make Tuesday a Giving Tuesday by adding a donation or keepsake ornament to any skate session purchase.

Tickets are on sale at Theloopflb.ticketspice.com/the-rink-at-wonderland.
