New Restaurant Coming to Cocowalk in Coconut Grove

Opening dates have yet to be announced for the venues.

Ariete Hospitality Group (AHG) is all set to launch two new restaurants this summer – Eva and The Oyster Bar at CocoWalk, both located within walking distance of AHG’s other Coconut Grove establishments. With its Mediterranean-inspired menu, Eva offers a unique culinary experience crafted by chef/restaurateur Michael Beltran and executive chef Ashley Moncada. The Oyster Bar, located at Eva, will be an intimate speakeasy-style oyster and cocktail bar.

The Oyster Bar and Eva are set to open in two phases on the bottom floor of the restored CocoWalk shopping center. The Oyster Bar will be the first to open, offering a selection of raw bar classics, tasty small plates and various libations that complement the sea’s delicacies. On the other hand, Eva will follow several weeks later, serving lunch, dinner, Happy Hour and brunch. While the menu and beverage list are still being finalized, the specific opening dates are yet to be announced.

“The Oyster Bar will be a perfect after-work spot for raw bar, bites and a surprisingly extensive drink program for such an intimate space,” Beltran says. “Eva is designed to be an everyday any occasion spot with great food, service and a fun, casual vibe. The idea of a Mediterranean-inspired bistro was the basis for the idea and we went from there. Eva will be as suited for a family dinner as it will be a casual business lunch or night out with friends. There will be a few upscale items and a flourish here and there, as we do want to make it interesting. Our goal is to have a restaurant that is super approachable and fun with the level of service and sophistication diners expect and deserve.”

Eva boasts a delightful blend of rustic yet modern design elements. The 4,100-square-foot indoor space is adorned with a serene, sandy color palette with glamorous gold accents. The venue features solid wood benches, tables and chairs, woven rattan chairbacks, a marble-topped main bar with a base of worn stones, solid stone support columns (a nod to the Parthenon), and abundant natural light. The Oyster Bar will seat nine, while Eva will have ample space for 139 guests between the main bar, dining room, and outdoor patio. The outdoor patio surrounds CocoWalk’s beautiful Grecian rear fountain, adding to the venue’s charm.
