Suzanne Migdall & Khaleesi

A rescued pup with royal energy, Khaleesi proves that love, loyalty, and daily twirls can change everything.

How do you juggle your personal life with your dog?

Since adopting Khaleesi, she has become my constant companion—whether I’m working at my computer, in the closet picking out an outfit, or relaxing under the covers. She watches TV with me and loves long walks around Rio Vista, where she greets neighbors like a local celebrity. Every day, she spins three times when I walk in the door—it never fails to make me laugh and reminds me how precious life is.

What is your favorite pet charity?

Big Dog Ranch Rescue is my favorite. I served on the committee that hosts their annual Mar-a-Lago fundraiser. They rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs and also train service dogs for veterans. Their work is life changing.

What’s one lesson your dog has taught you?

Unconditional love. Khaleesi is a rescue, and yet she trusts with her whole heart. Her late owner used to say, “She’s the queen,” and she truly is—the doggy queen who stole mine. No matter how hectic my day, she brings me back to what really matters.
