The Big Number: 24

24: This is the average number of women per minute, around the world, who are victims of intimate partner violence. It’s estimated that 1 in 3 women will experience physical or sexual violence in their lifetime. Thanks to two important advocacy groups based in Miami—The Women’s Fund, and the South Florida chapter of One Billion Rising—investments are being made in programs and actions that will create freedom from this violence.
