The Spice Is Right

The return of Miami Spice gives foodie enthusiasts an opportunity to feast on three-course meals, spanning every culinary category imaginable, at renowned restaurants throughout the region. At press time, more than 100 restaurants were offering lunch/brunch ($28) and dinner ($42) deals (prices are per person, excluding tax and tip).

Miami Spice, which runs through September, even draws popular resort restaurants—like Il Mulino NY at Acqualina, Bourbon Steak at JW Marriott Miami Turnberry, and Toro Toro at InterContinental Miami. As for what to expect, several eateries already had their menus in place.

Glass and Vine is offering dinner specials that give customers a choice of Mediterranean salad, handmade croquettes, or salmon tartare (for an extra $6) as an appetizer; grilled mahi-mahi, brick-roasted chicken, and ribeye surf and turf (for an extra $12) as an entrée; and passion fruit cheesecake for dessert. At Planta South Beach, starter choices include baby gem, eggplant nigiri or gyoza; entrée options are white truffle pizza, basil pesto or a Southwest burger; and dessert is either cashew cheesecake or soft-serve ice cream. The lineup at Sushi Garage Sunset Harbour (pictured above) features avocado crispy rice, seaweed salad or tempura shrimp bites on the appetizer side; sushi/roll combo, three beef tacos, or salmon shoyaki for the main course; and moshi ice cream for dessert.
