Rebuilding Together Broward County Hosts Second Annual Black Dresses & Blueprints Event

As part of its effort to improve the homes and lives of low-income homeowners, Rebuilding Together Broward County recently hosted its second annual “Black Dresses & Blueprints” event. The ceremony helped recognize outstanding women who have made an impact in the construction industry and their community. 

Proceeds from the event, which took place at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, benefitted the nonprofit organization. Since 2003, Rebuilding Together Broward County has rehabilitated over 1,200 homes and community centers, with more than $9 million invested into the community.

Honorees included Tamara Chase, CEO and co-founder of Chase Roofing; Joy Lynskey, founder and creative director at Jewel Toned Interiors; and Stephanie Rodriguez, regional senior vice president of Duke Realty. Sisters Mia Bella Nepola and Ava Nepola were honored with the Young Rebuilder Award.
