Sushi by Bou Opens Boca Raton Location

The modern Omakase concept from New York debuted in South Florida at a West Palm Beach location in May.

Sushi by Bou, the modern speakeasy-inspired omakase concept renowned for reimagining the omakase experience, has opened its newest location in Boca Raton at 409 SE Mizner Blvd. in Royal Palm Place. It offers the classic omakase experience along with additional outdoor seating. With each location designed to provide a bespoke speakeasy dining experience, Sushi by Bou’s Boca Raton location boasts a unique aesthetic and vibe that promises a memorable guest experience. The luxurious and glamorous ambiance of the Boca Raton location is inspired by the 1920s Art Deco era, featuring a bold variety of textures, dramatic architectural features and adventurous ornamentation. The intimate atmosphere pays homage to Addison Mizner, with geometric tiles throughout the space and a playful nod to his love for monkeys in the bold and daring bathroom design.

Sushi by Bou partners Erika London and Chef David Bouhadana are Boca Raton residents, with London relocating to Boca with her family last year.

“I’m so excited to bring our passion for sushi to my new hometown and look forward to showcasing our unique omakase experience to Boca Raton diners,” London says. “The Boca market is booming with a sophisticated dining audience, making the city a natural addition to our national expansion.”

With the recent launch of its Boca Raton location, Sushi by Bou now has 14 locations across the country and 19 in the SimpleVenue portfolio. Its sister brands, including Sushi Suite, Omakaseed, Fins and Scales and Trust Bae, are spread across New York, New Jersey, Chicago and South Florida. Sushi by Bou has been expanding since its inception in 2017 and plans to add at least another dozen locations in 2023, including in Palm Beach County.

SimpleVenue revolutionized the restaurant industry by introducing micro-restaurants in underutilized spaces within existing venues. Sushi by Bou is its flagship brand. It offers a modern and personalized culinary experience, showcasing the hustle and bustle of Japan’s food culture with a unique take on the classic sushi counter.

During the Omakase experience at Sushi by Bou, guests will be guided by skilled sushi chefs. They can relax and let the chef curate their meal and select unique libations for them. The 12-course Omakase experience is available for $60, while the Bou-gie upgrade with 17 courses and five additional seasonal courses can be enjoyed for $125. Both options are for 60 minutes.

Sushi by Bou Boca Raton is open from 5 p.m. to 12 a.m. from Tuesday to Sunday. Reservations can be made at sushibybou.com or OpenTable.
