Fort Liquordale On The Beach Launches

Axe Hospitality, creators of local concepts including Chops & Hops and Mama Hanks, recently celebrated the grand opening.

With a to-go cocktail window, a stage for live music, and an impressive lineup of nostalgia-inspired handcrafted cocktails, Fort Liquordale On The Beach recently opened as a nod to the glory days of Fort Lauderdale Beach with a modern twist. Located in the streetfront space previously occupied by Crocs in Beach Place, Fort Liquordale is a 3,100-square-foot indoor-outdoor space overlooking the ocean for some of the best views on the beach. The establishment features a just-over-street elevation, giving guests an unobstructed view of the sand, and is arguably the best vantage point for people-watching along A1A. The interior incorporates classic elements of the bygone beach era to create a coastal vibe and pay homage to concepts such as Penrod’s on the Beach, Elbo Room, and The Candy Store.

“At one time, this stretch of Fort Lauderdale Beach was filled with Fort Lauderdale-specific concepts; places owned by locals, for locals,” Cofounder Ryan Lavernia says. “As development of the beach has grown, almost all of these independent spots have disappeared. We wanted to create a modern version of the original Fort Lauderdale Beach bars in a marquee location. Our name, Fort Liquordale On The Beach is an ode not just to Fort Lauderdale’s party culture, but to the OG establishments that put Fort Lauderdale on the map.”

Fort Liquordale features live music daily and offers “Happy Minutes,” 20 minutes of significantly discounted drink specials every day at 11 a.m., 4 p.m., and 9 p.m. Additionally, the bar provides $5 wells and drafts during rainy weather with their “When It Rains, We Pour” offer and gives a 10% discount to Fort Lauderdale locals all day, every day. The bar offers signature drinks such as The Jolly Roger, a Pineapple Rum Punch made with Marti Silver and Rumhaven Coconut, The Florida Man, a Frozen Bourbon, Lemonade, and Honey concoction, and Show Me Your Coconuts, which is an Espresso Martini made with Ketel One and Rum Chata Coconut. Fort Liquordale also offers Liquordale Lager, brewed locally by Three Sons Brewing.

It is located at 17 South Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard, Unit 116. It can accommodate a maximum of 317 guests and is open daily at 11 a.m. For more information, visit Fortliquordale.com or follow the brand on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/fortliquordalebeach.
