Cervecería La Tropical Launches La Tropical Mixología—The World’s First Distilled Beer Cocktail

The iconic craft brewery in Miami is now also a distillery.

Cervecería La Tropical is raising the bar with the launch of its revolutionary new creation: La Tropical Mixología™, The World’s First Distilled Beer Cocktail™. This patent-pending, ready-to-drink (RTD) canned cocktail blends the crisp refreshment of a cerveza with the bold flavors of a handcrafted cocktail. With its unique sabor y ritmo (taste and rhythm), it captures the vibrant, multicultural spirit of Miami in every sip.

Crafted by the expert brewers, distillers, and mixologists at La Tropical, La Tropical Mixología™ pushes the boundaries of what a cocktail can be, all while embracing the vibrant spirit of Miami and the rich heritage of La Habana. The innovative cocktail begins with La Tropical beer, triple-distilled in a pot still to create a clear, smooth spirit with a floral aroma and malty backbone. This beer spirit is then blended with premium vodka or rum to deliver two distinct flavors, each with a 5.9% ABV. Whether you’re poolside, beachside, or celebrating any occasion, these refreshing cocktails are perfect for every vibe. The initial flavors include the following, with more to come:

? Pasióntini – Passion Fruit Vodka Martini Cocktail
? Havanito – Blanco Rum Mojito Cocktail

“This new and innovative patent pending cocktail reflects the DNA of our city. It is a celebration of
flavor, culture and the way we love to mix things up in Miami,” says Manny Portuondo, CEO of
Cervecería La Tropical. “With La Tropical Mixología, we’ve created a fiesta in a can and in the process, a
new category of cocktails, targeting the $2.6 billion RTD spirit market, which is expected to grow to
$41.5 billion by 2031. It’s the best of both worlds – exciting and full of flavor like your favorite
handcrafted cocktail and refreshing like a cerveza.”

Each can of La Tropical Mixología™ honors the rich legacy of La Tropical – Cuba’s oldest brewery, founded in 1888 in La Habana and operating until Fidel Castro nationalized it after coming to power. The brand’s modern reinvention in Miami’s Wynwood Arts District in 2021 brings this legacy to life. The flavors are inspired by the tropical vibrancy of Havana and the dynamic, entrepreneurial energy of Miami, making La Tropical Mixología™ the perfect drink for celebrating life’s big and small moments.

Launching on January 29, La Tropical Mixología™ Cocktails will be available at Cervecería La Tropical’s taproom in Wynwood and select retail locations across South Florida. Like the brewery’s renowned lineup of handcrafted cervezas, La Tropical Mixología™ Cocktails will be distributed by Gold Coast Beverage, reaching from West Palm Beach to Key West along Florida’s East Coast. The product will be sold in 4-packs of 12 oz. cans, with a suggested retail price of $10.99–$11.49 per pack.

Cervecería La Tropical is located at 42 NE 25 th Street in Miami’s Wynwood Arts District. For more information, visit www.cervecerialatropical.com | @latropicalbeer | @latropicalmixologia
