The Restaurant People Unveil Special Menu for Valentine’s Day

TRP Taste, YOLO, Casablanca Café, Boatyard, and S3 Restaurant will feature specialty-crafted dishes for the occasion.

The South Florida hospitality group, The Restaurant People (TRP), known for creating popular hotspots like YOLO, TRP Taste, Rooftop @1WLO, S3, Boatyard, and Java & Jam, is planning to celebrate Valentine’s Day with a special menu and cocktail offerings to make the occasion more notable for their customers.

TRP TASTE (1 West Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale)

Executive Chef Lyndsey Waters at TRP Taste will offer “Two to Tango,” a six-course chef-led culinary experience on Valentine’s Day. Guests can witness a live demonstration as Chef Waters prepares each course in real-time in the open-air kitchen, providing insight into every bite. The intimate and interactive atmosphere encourages guests to ask questions and mingle with other patrons.

The menu of the Two to Tango restaurant boasts of a six-course meal. The first course includes Oysters & Pearls served with yuzu mignonette, serrano and champagne granita. Foie Gras & Brioche is served with cherry, walnut, vanilla and celery for the second course. The third course features Tomato & Burrata with heirloom tomato, basil pesto and balsamic. Prawn & Saffron with tonnarelli, lemon and caviar is the fourth course. The fifth course includes Picanha & King Crab featuring a dry-aged steak, asparagus, black garlic whipped potato, and chives. Lastly, patrons can enjoy Caramel Pot de crème with sea salt shortbread and smoked vanilla cream for dessert.

The Two to Tango menu is available at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 14 for $125 per person. In downtown Fort Lauderdale, TRP Taste offers an intimate, chef-led dining experience for up to 26 guests. YOLO (303 Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale)

On Feb. 14, YOLO will serve a special menu for its guests, including an appetizer of Florida Rock Lobster Tempura for $32. The dish is served with a pineapple sweet chili dip, Napa cabbage, cilantro, and ginger slaw. For the main course, guests can enjoy a 24-hour Slow Braised 7oz Short Rib for $58, served with fresh truffle, Gruyere cheese potato puree, and baby heirloom carrots and tomatoes. To end the meal on a sweet note, YOLO offers a Bourbon Caramel Raisin Bread Pudding for $18, served with vanilla ice cream and caramel croquants.

For those who want a personal butler, there is CAM, a Caviar Accoutrement Mobile butler adorned with a top hat and bow tie. Guests have the option to order tableside service through CAM, which includes 1 oz of YOLO Imperial Caviar with accompaniments of Tuna and Crispy Rice Ssam, Steak Tartare, Fried Chicken and Truffle Honey, and Blinis with Manchego foam. Additionally, CAM arrives tableside with two splits of Moët & Chandon. The entire experience costs $150.

Casablanca Café (3049 Alhambra St., Fort Lauderdale)

Casablanca Café offers an ideal setting for a romantic Valentine’s Day celebration, with a breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean and an impressive menu. The establishment, a historic property and a favorite of Fort Lauderdale residents offers a selection of libations that will delight couples. Among the options is the Casablanca Kiss, a cocktail made with Grey Goose le Citron vodka, citrus, cherry, and champagne, which costs $16. Chef Robert’s House-made Limoncello is another popular choice, priced at $10. Couples can also share bottles of wine, such as Daou Cabernet Sauvignon 2022, Paso Robles, which costs $66 per bottle (also available by glass for $17), or Ferrari Sparkling Rosé, DOC, Alto Adige, Italy, which comes in a 375ml bottle priced at $42.

The restaurant’s featured entrees comprise a Greek Baked Moussaka for $32, including spiced beef, eggplant, garbanzo, spinach, cheese, and potato. Another popular item is the Pork Milanese for $34, served with a bone-in pork chop, herb panko, fennel, arugula, orange supreme, and champagne vinaigrette. Additionally, customers can enjoy the Chilean Sea Bass for $50, which comes with saffron Israeli couscous, grilled vegetables, roasted red pepper cream, and lemon beurre blanc. Finally, a mixed berry shortcake is available for $10, topped with raspberry sauce, whipped cream, and brown sugar streusel for dessert.

Boatyard (1555 SE 17 St., Fort Lauderdale)

Boatyard offers enticing Valentine’s Day specials perfect for a romantic waterfront experience. Guests can choose from the Pan Seared Diver Scallops, which comes with forbidden black rice pilaf, smoked miso carrot purée, and togarashi lotus root, priced at $48. Alternatively, they can indulge in the Allen Brothers Aged Prime Rib, available in 12oz for $75 or 16oz for $95, served with Grafton cheddar gratin, grilled broccolini, au jus, and horseradish cream sauce. The Strawberry Pavlova ($14) with macerated strawberry and lemon meringue is a must-try for dessert. The cocktail, champagne, and rosé specials are also worth checking out, including the Rose Petal Martini ($14) made with Tito’s Vodka, strawberry, and lemon; Collet ($99); G.H. Mumm “Cordon Rouge ($110); Perrier-Jouët “Belle Epoque” Rosé ($375); Veuve Cliquot “Yellow” (1.5L / $330); and Ch. D’Esclans “Whispering Angel” (1.5L / $120).

At S3, this Valentine’s Day, guests can enjoy a range of new menu features that are perfect for sharing. Among these are West Coast Oysters, available for $24 and come in four, topped with passion fruit foam and osetra caviar. The seafood risotto costs $48 and is made with littleneck clams, Maine lobster, PEI mussels, jumbo shrimp, saffron and white wine Arborio, and parmesan. Additionally, guests can order a Bluefin tuna platter from the sushi kitchen for $75, a Bluefin maki roll for $35, and a 3 Way Nigiri for $20, with akami, ch?toro, and otoro.
