Foddie Finds: New Game in Town

At the Esplanade at Aventura, Pinstripes offers a unique combination of dining and entertainment.

Call it a different kind of food fusion – elevated Italian American cuisine paired with a round of bocce ball. Pinstripes, which bills itself as an “eatertainment” hub, at the Esplanade at Aventura (19505 Biscayne Blvd., Suite 3290, Aventura, pinstripes.com/aventura) blends a bistro with bowling and bocce. Either work up an appetite first on one of the 12 bowling lanes or five indoor and outdoor bocce courts or get your eat on before taking on competitors.

The ground floor restaurant’s expansive menu features house-made Italian classics, such as Pinstripes’ signature Fettucini Bolognese with a sauce made from certified Angus beef, Italian San Marzano tomatoes and topped with creamy mascarpone cheese.

Pizzas and flatbreads are crafted on hand-stretched dough using imported Italian ingredients and baked in a stone hearth oven. Top off dinner with dessert like the homemade Italian gelato or Pinstripes’ Classic Tiramisu inflused with La Colombe coffee.

Every Saturday and Sunday is the Pintastic Brunch Buffet, with a waffle and omelet station, carving station, and specialty dishes such as a lobster and egg bruschetta, featuring Maine lobster, shrimp, soft scrambled eggs and grilled baguette.

Founded in Chicago, this is the 15th U.S. location for Pinstripes and the first South Florida location. A second Miami location is slated for Coral Gables opening in the spring.
