Dog Days of Summer Party

A Paw-sitively Stylish Celebration at AC Hotel Fort Lauderdale Beach

On July 17, Lifestyle Magazine brought its July issue to life with a tail-wagging soirée at the AC Hotel Fort Lauderdale Beach. The Dog Days of Summer event celebrated the beloved dogs—and stylish owners—featured in our special pet issue with an evening of live music, thoughtful sponsors, and heartfelt community connection.

Set in the hotel’s spacious lounge, the event welcomed guests with cocktails, conversation, and one very popular attraction: the Tito’s Handmade Vodka “Kissing Booth,” complete with playful photo ops and Tito’s-branded toys tucked into each gift bag. The evening struck the perfect balance of casual fun and coastal sophistication—an ideal reflection of Fort Lauderdale’s pet-loving community.

Among the stars of the night were the profiled dog owners and their four-legged companions, including Danielle Gaudreau and her dog Otto. Danielle is the powerhouse stylist behind Salon BarkThe Pretty NomadThe Vintage Nomad, and Well Brimmed Hats. She styled many of the photos in our July issue and generously contributed to the gift bags and raffle prizes. Rick Hansen of Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming Fort Lauderdale brought delicious custom pup-cakes for each profiled pup and treats for the dog parents too. Stacie Weisman of Bloomers Frosé donated prizes to the event raffle and brought her signature sparkle to the night.

Jackie Ducci, founder of the Humane-Animal Alliance, attended with her rescue dog Sadie and shared her passion for animal advocacy with guests. Also in attendance was the team from Tri-County Animal Rescue, including Caryn Teman, Amanda Zimmer, and Tracy Miller, who offered support and giveaways on behalf of the organization.

The event was brought to life with the help of generous sponsors like Tiffany Gonzalez of Balloons Galore and More, whose custom balloon dogs charmed both kids and grownups alike; Craig Tanner of Print Basics, who provided beautifully branded signage and printed materials; and The Media Lab, whose behind-the-scenes tech support ensured a smooth and seamless evening.

The night was beautifully captured by Lorena Cora of Lorena Cora Pet Photography, whose signature dog whistle helped keep every pup’s attention. Bella Alarcon of Beauty by Bella made sure many of our guests looked as polished as their pets.

As the sun set over the Atlantic, guests mingled, danced, and placed their bids in a lively raffle featuring grooming services, hotel stays, and pet pampering prizes. But beyond the giveaways and goodie bags, the night reminded us what makes this community so special: the bond between people and their pets, and the shared joy of celebrating that bond in style.

It was more than an event—it was a movement wrapped in love, loyalty, and a lot of well-groomed fur.
