Great Staycations: Lennox Miami Beach

Lennox Miami Beach

1900 Collins Ave., Miami Beach

About the resort: This eco-inspired boutique property, like many other Miami Beach hotels, has a storied history. Launched in 1936, the Peter Miller Hotel was comprised of four interconnected buildings designed by Russell Pancoast, one of Miami Beach’s major architectural players at the time. The past is preserved in the original art deco façade, as well as the terrazzo flooring and archways in the lobby. The rest of the 119-room hotel is brimming with handcrafted details (like the in-room furnishings from Patagonia) and green, upcycled materials. A Mediterranean-style courtyard (pictured left), at the center of the interconnected buildings, includes a swimming pool and pool bar.

Isn’t that special: The hotel’s summer promo knocks 20% off the best available room rate and includes complimentary valet parking (must book by July 31 and stay by Sept. 30).
