Lucali Miami Beach Celebrates 10th Anniversary

Since opening Lucali Miami Beach 10 years ago, owner Mark Iacono has seen his New York City establishment transform into a beloved Miami institution by offering authentic Italian pies and calzones in a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. Iacono opened Lucali’s first location in the neighborhood of Carroll Gardens in Brooklyn in 2006 after transforming a local candy shop into a landmark site that is one of the most sought-after pizzerias in the city.

After years of visiting Miami, Iacono grew a love for the area and made Miami Beach the first destination he would expand to. He looks forward to expanding Lucali into additional markets in the future.

Like its Brooklyn outpost, Lucali Miami Beach does not take reservations and operates on a first-come, first-served basis and food is made to order with fresh ingredients. Lucali focuses on using simple, high-quality ingredients and traditional preparation methods. The menu includes a few pizza and calzone options alongside classic items like homemade meatballs and eggplant parm. The fresh dough is rolled out using empty wine bottles, which has become a popular method nationwide.
