MisterO1 Pizza Signs Lease for Downtown Doral Location

Floridian First Realty brokered the deal.

MisterO1 Extraordinary Pizza has agreed to a 10-year lease for a new Downtown Doral location. The deal was brokered by Michelle Gonzalez, the commercial licensed broker of record for Floridian First Realty. Floridian First Realty is a family-owned boutique real estate firm based in Coral Gables that specializes in commercial, luxury, and residential properties. The pizza restaurant is set to launch by September 1, 2024, and will be situated in Downtown Doral, a 250-acre mixed-use community developed by Codina Partners. The Michelin-recommended restaurant will be housed in a 2,500-square-foot location at 8455 N.W. 53rd St., Suite G101. It will be the first MisterO1 branch to open in Doral. Gonzalez also brokered leases for MisterO1’s locations in Aventura, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, Miramar and Pembroke Pines.

“Specializing in the retail restaurant sector, I am thrilled to represent MisterO1 to expand across South Florida and play a role in bringing an exceptional culinary experience to many people,” Gonzalez says. “Downtown Doral, known for its vibrant atmosphere and a special blend of shopping and entertainment options, is the perfect location for this pizzeria that has become synonymous with Chef Renato’s signature 13-inch pizzas that are star-shaped with a pouch of ricotta cheese in each of the eight points.”

MisterO1 is owned by its co-founders and original owners, Chef Renato Viola and President Umberto Mascagni. The restaurant prides itself on using only the highest-quality ingredients, which are locally sourced or imported from Italy. Their artisanal pizza is a delicate, thin-crust style with a very light dough. The dough is prepared and allowed to rest for at least 72 hours before it is served, ensuring the perfect texture and taste.

Growing up in Southern Italy, Viola discovered his passion for cooking at a young age. He began his apprenticeship with some of Italy’s best pizza chefs when he was just 11 years old. After garnering multiple awards across Europe, Viola moved to Miami Beach under the O1 Visa category, specifically reserved for people with “Extraordinary Artistic Ability” of international acclaim. Realizing that his talent could revolutionize the pizza industry, he set out to create something exceptional by opening MisterO1.
